Their Story

Gloria Trevisan, 26, and Marco Gottardi, 27, were two talented young architects who tragically died on the 23rd floor of the Grenfell Tower in North Kensington, London on 14 June 2017. The fire, which broke out in the apartment block killing 72 people, is considered one of the United Kingdom’s worst modern disasters.

The couple were engaged to be married and had only recently moved to London to start a new life together. Gloria had just begun her career and was working at the London architectural firm of Peregrine Bryant Architects.

Memory in Scholarship

Out of the grim horror of this disaster, a foundation was formed in their name, and the Gloria e Marco Charity (GeM) was established.
