The Gloria e Marco (GeM) Charity is a registered charity established in 2020 in memory of Gloria Trevisan and Marco Gottardi, two talented young architects whose passion for architecture, heritage, learning, and travel continues to inspire future generations.
Founded in the aftermath of the Grenfell Tower disaster, the charity was created through the dedication of trustees working closely with the families of Gloria and Marco, the SPAB, and the Grenfell Love charity. Drawing upon a wide network of professional connections, colleagues, and supporters within the architectural and conservation sectors, the GeM Award was established to create a lasting legacy that reflects Gloria and Marco’s enthusiasm for discovery, cultural exchange, and international experience.
Today, the GeM Award provides an annual travel scholarship for emerging architects, offering unique opportunities to study, explore, and gain invaluable experience in architectural conservation across the UK. Through international exchange, professional networking, and hands-on learning, the charity is committed to supporting and inspiring the next generation of architectural talent.
